Description

Circa 1876. Renaissance. 4-storey commercial buildings,

ground floor altered, 3 x 6 bays with angled SE corner

bay. Painted ashlar. Mainly sash and case windows with

4-pane glazing, all windows arched with blind heads.

1st, 2nd and 3rd storey windows set in keyblocked arcade

with panelled spandrels; pilasters dividing bays. Cill

bands and simple cornices to each floor. Bold eaves

modillion cornice. Panelled die parapet raised with

segmental pediment over central bay to Argyle Street.
