Description
Circa 1858. 4-storey and later attic, 8 x 11-bay classical end-terrace commercial block, shallow quadrant corner bay. Painted ashlar, modern ground floor. All windows in architraves; 1st and 2nd floor corniced,
1st floor consoled to Argyle Street, 2nd floor all with consoled cills; sash and case windows, plate glass; Eaves band, cornice, and blocking course. Reconstructed attic. Curved, recessed angle bay with similar window detailing. Return elevation to James Watt Street in 2 sections, 5 bays to N, 6 to S 1st return bay blind on 3rd floor. N section detailed as Argyle Street (no consoles to 1st floor windows), S simply detailed; 4-pane sash and case windows. Slate roof. Cast-iron columned interior.
