Description

Alexander Kirkland, 1850. 3-storey classical tenement

with basement in Corunna Street, Nos 3-9 (odd nos). 11

x 18 bays with recessed, bow tripartite corner bay; 4th

bay from E on Argyle Street blind glazed, 1st bay from

N on return blind glazed at 1st floor. Ground floor

altered at Argyle Street. Polished ashlar, channelled at

ground floor.

Pilastered entries each at head of stair in Corunna

Street with projecting frieze and cornice, fanlights.

Ground floor cornice. All windows sash and case in

architraves; mainly 12-pane glazing; 1st floor windows

corniced, dropped architraves, console bracketted at

corner. Eaves cornice; panelled die parapet. Slate roof,

ridge stacks.
