Description

Alexander Kirkland, circa 1855. 3-storey classical

tenement. Long, serpentine range broken between Nos 22

and 24. Polished ashlar, channelled at ground floor.

Projecting Roman Doric pilastered doorpieces with

cornices linked to ground floor cornice. At W end Doric,

square pillared porticos with responds. Ground floor

cornice forming 1st floor cill band. Sash and case

windows in architraves; mainly 12-pane glazing; 1st

floor windows corniced. Eaves cornice; balustraded die

parapet. Design continued into No 21 Corunna Street.
