Description
The William Annan Fountain, located on Renfield Street in Glasgow, was designed by architect Robert Lorimer in 1915. This stone memorial fountain is made of polished pink granite and features a circular base with four basins. Atop the square pedestal, which has lion mask spouts and a bronze plaque, stands a tall octagonal shaft adorned with a unicorn and shield. The bronze plaque reads, "This Fountain was presented to the City of Glasgow by William Annan of Port Dundas. 1915."
