Description

This building, located at 116, 118, and 120 Sauchiehall Street in Glasgow, dates from around 1845 and is a four-storey tenement with modern shops at the ground level. It features five by six bays, with the second bay from the east on Sauchiehall Street and the fourth bay on the first and second floors being blind. The first return bay to Hope Street and the fifth return bay at the ground floor are also blind.

All windows are architraved, primarily sash and case. There is a band course at the ground floor and cill bands on the first and second floors. The eaves have a mutule cornice. On the first floor, the central window facing Sauchiehall Street is consoled, while the other windows are corniced and bracketted, featuring alternating segmental and triangular pediments. The second floor windows are also corniced and bracketted, with a pediment on the central bay facing Sauchiehall Street. The third floor has plain windows. The building has a slate roof, with one wallhead stack reduced on each elevation.
