Description
Muirend Station, located on Whitemoss Avenue in Glasgow, is a building designed by James Millar, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century. This station features Art Nouveau detailing and stands independently on an island platform. It has a deep cantilevered flat canopy and a decorative timber valance adorned with pierced heart ornaments. The structure is constructed of red brick and timber, with small-paned openings. The main roof is slated and topped with red ridging, and it includes deep-corniced brick axial stacks. Notably, the station also has distinctive aedicular notice boards.
