Description
Lochieheads House is a plain L-plan mansion that dates back to 1803, with expansions made around 1890. The building features a late Georgian style, with a two-storey front facing south and taller pavilion bays. It is constructed from coursed whinstone and droved ashlar blocks, with galletting, an eaves band, a hipped slate roof, and tall stacks. The façade has five windows, with pairs located on the right side, and a solid porch in the center that is marked with the date 1932. To the right gable-end, there is a single-storey extension dated 1914. Additionally, there is a one-storey extension at the rear angle, which has a crenellated parapet and the year 1901 cut into the lintel.
