44 East Quality Street, Dysart

44 East Quality Street in Dysart is an early 19th-century, three-storey and basement house that has been converted into offices. The building features stugged ashlar with stone cills, and coursed rubble on the sides and rear. It has an eaves cornice and an architraved and corniced doorpiece.

The northwest, or principal elevation, is symmetrical with steps leading up to a part-glazed timber door that has a deep two-pane fanlight in the center bay. There are windows in the flanking bays and regular fenestration on each floor above.

The southeast, or rear elevation, also has symmetrical fenestration, including a raised basement with a door in the center and a shouldered wallhead stack. The windows are timber sash and case with small-pane glazing patterns. The building has coped ashlar stacks and ashlar-coped skews.

Inside, the first-floor room to the northwest features plain cornices, a square arch with fluted pilasters, and timber shutters.

There is a former coach house made of dressed and squared rubble with band courses. It has segmental and round-headed openings with voussoirs. The northeast, or entrance elevation, includes a cart-arch at ground level with a two-leaf boarded timber door, a blocked window above in a pedimented gable, and a further square-headed window on the return to the right at ground level.
