Description

The Club House of the Forth Cruising Club in Brucehaven, Limekilns, is an 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay house with a square plan. It features rough harled walls and sandstone surrounds around the openings, with a cavetto eaves course and vertical margins at the southwest, northwest, and northeast quoins. The building has crowstepped gables.

On the south elevation, there is a central replacement glazed door, with a window to the left and a replacement window to the right. The first floor has a central window flanked by two additional windows. The west elevation presents a plain gable with a single-storey cottage attached to the west side. The north elevation includes two first-floor windows to the right, a single-storey monopitch outshot to the left, three windows, and a door with a fanlight in the right return. The east elevation has a ground floor window to the left and a first floor window to the right, with a continuous harled buttress sloping from the bottom of the ground floor to the ground.

The windows are predominantly 8-pane timber sash and case, with one 12-pane window located to the left of the entrance door. The roof is pitched and covered with slate laid in diminishing courses, featuring harled gable apex stacks, crowstepped gable wallheads, and moulded skewputts. There is a rooflight at the front and a slated outshot at the rear with plain raised skews.

The interior was not seen in 1999. Surrounding the property is a sandstone rubble wall on the east, west, and south sides.
