Description

Keirs is a mid-18th century farmhouse of two storeys and a dormerless attic, originally arranged with three bays. The walls are harled and feature painted ashlar margins. The central entrance has a double-leaf panelled door set within a Gibbs surround, incorporating a triple keyblock and a pediment. The windows retain their original 12-pane glazing. First-floor and attic windows are visible in the west gable. The roof is slated, with skews featuring simple moulded skewputts, and has end stacks. Single-storey rear wings extend from the west and east sides of the main structure. The statutory address is Strathairly Farmhouse (otherwise known as Keirs).
