Carlton, 8 South Feus, Upper Largo

Carlton is an early 19th-century house situated at 8 South Feus, Upper Largo. It is a single-story and attic structure with three bays. The exterior is of painted whin rubble with droved ashlar dressings, margins, and quoins. The central bay slightly projects and features a panelled door, a fanlight, and a pilastered doorpiece. The original window is on the left side of the building, while a modern bow window is located on the right. An eaves band, cornice and blocking course run along the top of the walls. There are two modern bowed dormers and a central dormer, all set into the slate roof, which also includes straight skews and corniced end stacks. The west gable is blank, featuring two ground floor and one first-floor window. The east gable is wide. The doorpiece is similar in design to that found at 16 South Feus B Group.
