22 South Feus, Upper Largo

This is an early 19th century terrace of cottages, originally comprising two three-bay units. Around 1970, an additional bay and a bowed west elevation were added. The cottages are constructed from whin rubble with ashlar dressings, the later bay using galleted whin rubble. Number 22 South Feus features a central panelled door and two later bipartites (double windows), along with two louvred dormers. Number 24 has a door on the left side and a single window to the right, topped by a bowed dormer. Number 26 features a door with two flanking windows, two bowed dormers on the left, and the 1970 addition incorporating three windows on its bowed west elevation, a return window, and an owl finial. Each cottage has rear extensions. The roofs are slate, with end and axial stacks. Number 22, 24 and 26 South Feus were restored and the western bay added by L A Rolland and Partners. They form a group of buildings of architectural importance. The statutory address is formally 1, 2, 3 South Feus.
