Description
Buckthorns is an early 19th-century farmhouse of late Georgian design. The main block is two storeys and has an attic, with three bays. It is built of local whin rubble with long and short ashlar dressings. The central door is located behind a pedimented and glazed timber porch, and is flanked by two windows set within shallow, segmentally arched recessed panels. The window glazing has been altered. There are three windows on the first floor. The roof is slate, with straight skews and corniced end stacks. A single-storey, single-bay wing with a piended roof extends from one side, along with a brick extension to the left. The statutory address is Buckthorns Farm House.
