Description

This is an 18th-century dovecot situated within the walled garden at Strathairly House. It is built of plain rubble and is of a lectern design, set into the garden walls. The dovecot features a stepped string course, crowsteps, beak head skewputts, and a slated roof with a row of flight holes. A small, low door is located on the north side. Stone nesting boxes are incorporated into the structure. A decorative Arts and Crafts wrought-iron gate provides access to the walled garden.
