Lyndhurst, 29 St Andrews Road, Upper Largo

Lyndhurst is a house dating to around 1850, built as a symmetrical two-storey structure. The front is constructed from roughly squared stone blocks (stugged coursed) with polished, chamfered margins and quoins. The sides and rear are of whin rubble. A shallow, projecting gable is positioned on the right-hand side. All windows are bipartite (divided into two vertical panes) and feature 8 or 10 panes of glass. A raised panel sits above the centre first-floor window, and the left window has a steeply pointed gablet. The roof is slate-covered, with coped skews (decorative projections at the roof edges) and chimney stacks at the ends. There is a rear wing and a modern lean-to conservatory. Originally a former United Presbyterian (UP) manse, although not constructed as such, it was recorded as a Free Church Manse on an Ordnance Survey map in 1855.
