Description
Damside is a farmhouse dating from around 1800. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a low, single-storey L-plan service block to the north. The house is constructed of whin rubble and features stugged yellow ashlar dressings. The central door is set within a lugged and keystoned architrave, with chamfered jambs. The building has scrolled and decorated skewputts and end stacks, topped with a modern felt tile roof. The low steading block has been adapted for domestic use, with a roof that is partly slated, partly pantiled, and partly covered with corrugated iron.
