Description
38 Townsend Place is an early 19th-century, two-storey, three-bay house that is part of an irregular terrace. The exterior features dry-dash with painted margins and a quoin strip on the right side, along with an eaves course.
The principal elevation is symmetrical, showcasing a deep-set modern timber door at the center, flanked by windows in the outer bays. The first floor has a regular arrangement of windows, and there is a rooflight positioned to the left of center. The windows are timber sash and case with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The roof is covered with modern red pantiles, and there is a coped rubble stack, an ashlar-coped skew to the right, and a cast-iron downpipe with a decorative rainwater hopper on the left.
The property is enclosed by low semicircular-coped boundary walls.
