Description

Mid 19th century. Pair of 2-storey, 3-bay rectangular plan terraced houses, converted from 2 pairs of flatted dwellings. Square coursed and stugged sandstone, polished ashlar window cills and margins.

N (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Each house originally with paired doors at centre, doors to left of each now blocked as window. Boarded doors with 2-pane fanlight. Windows flanking at ground and to each bay at 1st floor.

RETURN ELEVATIONS: blank gables.

12-pane glazing pattern in sash and case windows. Red pantiles with slate eaves easing course, ashlar coped skews with scrolled skewputts. Coped gablehead and mutual stacks with cans.
