Description
18-20 High Street in Musselburgh is an early 19th century, three-storey tenement with attics, featuring three windows across its front. The building has a slate roof with end stacks and is constructed from coursed rubble. The ground floor is rendered up to a band course at the window heads, with raised margins around the windows and doors, and a band course beneath the corniced eaves. On the ground floor, there is a later bipartite window to the right of the main door and a close door on the extreme left. The building includes two canted dormers, and the windows have been reglazed with double-pane sashes. At the rear, there is a central bowed stair tower projection that rises above the eaves level, topped with a semi-conical roof.
