Description

Mid to later 18th century. L-plan single storey cottage group

with cat-slide roof to projecting outbuilding in re-entrant

angle to rear. Random red rubble sandstone; ashlar dressings

to S elevation.

S ELEVATION: originally 2, 3-bay cottages each with door

flanked by windows. Outer left window of left cottage altered

to doorway. Marginally late piend-roofed cartshed/store

abutting at right angles to W of cottages, with single window

inserted as S.

W ELEVATION: 2 wide doorways grouped at centre with small

window flanking to outer left.

Rear elevations blank with small window to E cottage group

to left.

12-pane glazing to sash and case windows at S. Gable wallhead

stacks to original cottages, in sandstone and repaired in

brick. Pantiled roofs with raised skews to cottages.
