Description
The Cross Cottage is an 18th-century single-storey, three-bay cottage located on High Street in Aberlady, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with sandstone dressings. The entrance is centrally positioned and features a door with a four-pane strip fanlight above it. On either side of the door are enlarged windows, which are sash and case style with a 12-pane glazing pattern. The cottage has recently renewed red pantiles from 1989 and includes a coped skew and a mutual stack on the west side. In front of the cottage, there is a low wall made of ashlar with simple iron railings that enclose the front garden.
