Description
Stoneyhill in Musselburgh is a small mansion dating from around 1840, likely remodeled from an earlier house that once stood on this site. The building is two stories tall and features a single-storey wing that runs parallel to the southwest wall. It has a complex roof design with piended and semi-conical slate roofs over the bowed ends to the northeast, southeast, and over the southeast of the single-storey wing. The exterior is harled and has raised sandstone details around the doors, windows, and corners. Each bowed end has two windows with a chimney stack positioned between them, except for the wing. The northeast front has a door flanked by one window on each side, with an additional window above. On the southeast front, there is one window on both the ground and first floors between the two bows. Most of the windows are six-pane sash windows, while the French windows on the west side of the two bows have lying panes.
