Description
The former steading at Stoneyhill in Musselburgh dates from around 1840. It is a large building, primarily single storey, with lofts above certain sections. The structure features piended pantiled roofs and is constructed from rubble, which is whitewashed on the side adjacent to Stoneyhill. A tall, square, tapered brick chimney is also present.
On the northwest elevation, there are segmental arched openings that once served as a cartshed or coachhouse, but these have now been fitted with garage doors. One of the wider openings leads through as a pend to an internal yard, while two other openings have been blocked up. Above these arches, there are three small loft windows.
