Description
The steading at Cassindonald dates from two or more periods in the 19th century and forms a court with the house on one side. The south wing features four segmentally arched cartsheds, with a loft window above (the right one has been enlarged). It is constructed of whin rubble with droved ashlar dressings and has a gabled slated roof with straight skews. To the west, there is a rubble-built range that includes a checked door at the entrance to the loft, which has an internal stair, both featuring irregular relieving arches and likely contemporary with the farmhouse. This section has a pantiled roof. The west range contains three doors, a window, and a wide door, with rubble central blocks that have been much altered but retain piended pantiled roofs. Additionally, there are three parallel piended blocks to the east.
