Description
Drumcarro is a two-storey building dating from around 1860. It has a rendered and colourwashed exterior with painted margins. The front features three windows and a central entrance bay that is slightly advanced and gabled, with a plain pilastered doorpiece and a Jacobethan pendant at the apex. The ground floor windows are adorned with bracketed cornices, and most have original 12-pane glazing, although the right ground floor window and the centre first floor window have been reduced in size. The roof is broad-eaved and slated, with corniced ashlar end stacks that have stop-chamfered edges, creating the appearance of a group of four square shafts. The gables are broad with two windows, although the left gable on the east elevation is blind and the ground floor right window has altered glazing. At the rear, there is a single-storey and dormerless attic wing with three windows, designed in a similar style, featuring a lean-to porch and an outshot on the west side. A garage addition is located at the north-west.
