Description
The building known as the Steading at Greigston House is likely part of a previous house and dates back to the 17th century. It has a near-square plan and is constructed of boulder rubble with irregular dressings around the openings. The east gable features a ground floor window and a checked door on the first floor, which is accessed by wooden steps. There is a door in the west gable that is concealed by a shed, and an oblong upper window is located on the south flank. The roof is pantiled with straight skews and skewputts. Inside, the building has a barrel vaulted ceiling, and the masonry was repointed in 1815, which is dated.
