Description
Winthank is a two-storey building dated 1852, constructed from snecked rubble with droved dressings. It features Scots Jacobean architectural details and has an asymmetrical front. To the right, there is a slightly advanced gable with a one-window design and a Tudor hood mould at the first floor. The central door, which is now glazed, is flanked by a single-storey, stone-roofed, three-light canted bay that has a dated dormer head above. The roof is slated, and the building has crowstepped gables with scrolled skewputts and corniced ashlar end stacks. The east gable has one window, while the west gable has two windows and a door to the right. At the back, there is a crowstepped two-storey wing with two windows and an attic window, along with a modern addition. The building retains its original 12-pane glazing.
