Description

The Lodge in Birnam is a 2-storey mansion built in 1859. It is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The building features pyramid-spired dormer heads and a slated piended main roof with stone bracketed eaves. Notable architectural elements include octagonal and lozenge plan chimney shafts, as well as two north-facing canted bays topped with octagonal spired roofs. Additionally, there are lower single and 2-storey back wings.
