Description

Later 19th century. Asymmetrical 2-storey row of 3 cottages, currently 4. Squared and snecked, tooled rubble with droved ashlar dressings; base course and chamfered reveals. N (roadside) elevation: 6 irregular bays. Paired gabled porches in bays left of centre with decorative timber columns, brackets and barge boarding and balustrade; narrow window intervening between doorways; boarded doors with strip

fanlights. Further porch and doorway in penultimate bay to

right. Remaining bays at ground floor with timber mullioned

bipartites. Narrow 1st floor window off-centre to left; 4 bipartites in flanking bays, 2 arranged under gabled bays to left, and 2 to right, each breaking eaves in gabled dormerhead. W elevation blank, with blocked 1st floor window; later single storey addition to E

elevation. Additions at rear. Small-pane casement windows and plate glass sash and case. Timber eaves brackets and kingposts to N

gables. Pantiled roofs; velux windows to rear (1990). Stone

stacks; original cans retained; Low timber railings in front of bays to right.
