Coach House, Marly Knowe, Windygates Road, North Berwick

The Coach House at Marly Knowe on Windygates Road in North Berwick was designed by Sir Robert Lorimer in 1902. It is a single-storey building with an attic, connected to a single-storey outbuilding built in 1972. The exterior is harled with raised cills and has undergone significant alterations.

On the west elevation, the building features three bays, with a tripartite arrangement at the center of the ground floor. To the right, there is an advanced porch with a door and window, while a modern garage door is located to the left. The roof includes three lead-coped bipartite flat-roofed dormers, and there is a single-storey extension with a piend roof linked to the right.

The south elevation showcases an advanced central bay with rounded angles and a bell-cast roof that includes a dormer. The ground floor also has a tripartite arrangement, with small dormers flanking the mansard roof behind. A modern conservatory has been added to the left, connecting with the extension, and the windows are small-pane casement style. The mansard roof is slated with swept eaves.
