Description
Jane Cottage is a single-storey and attic symmetrical villa built around 1840, located at 180 North High Street in Musselburgh. The building features a central engaged Doric column doorpiece, with the cornice incorporated into the main cornice, and is flanked by tripartite windows. The structure is made of ashlar with a cornice and blocking course, while the sides are constructed of rubble. There are two canted flat roof dormers, although the cornice has recently been stripped off. The windows have been reglazed and include both double and single pane sashes. The roof is piended slate, with a left-hand end stack that has a modern brick top.
