Description
Beech Cottage is an early 19th-century single-storey cottage that has undergone substantial alterations. It features seven bays and is finished in white harling with ashlar dressings. The south elevation faces Main Street and has three gabled bays closely grouped at the center. The central bay contains a classical doorpiece with a deep-set door and blank ashlar dashes on either side. There are windows in the flanking bays and in widely spaced pairs on each side. At the rear, there is a modern addition and modern windows. The glazing pattern is lying-pane, mostly set in modern cases, and the cottage has a modern cornice and concrete pantiles.
