Description
The building at 24 and 26 Main Street in Ormiston is a mid-18th century, two-storey, three-bay house with an additional pend bay. It has modern pentice roofed and porch additions at the rear and is situated on a corner. The exterior is harled.
The south elevation facing Main Street is irregular, featuring three two-storey bays and a pend bay on the outer right, which has a window above it. There is an off-centre doorway to the right, flanked by modern shop windows, and a segmental pend in the outer right bay. The first floor has three windows of regular size, with a square window above the pend. The west elevation includes a large shop window that has been inserted, along with first floor and attic windows.
The sash and case windows have a 4-pane glazing pattern. There are later stacks, a red pantile roof, and a modern skylight.
