Description
West Lodge at Drummohr House dates from the late 18th century and was heightened in the 19th century. It has been heavily restored and was originally a single-storey lodge, but is now two storeys tall. The building is symmetrical, featuring a central semi-circular bowed front with doorways on either side, although the left-hand doorway is blank. There are three windows on the ground floor and one window on the first floor, located beneath a tympan chimney. The original ground floor is constructed of ashlar stone, while the later first floor is made of squared rubble above a polished ashlar band. The roof is piended and semi-conical, covered with slate and topped with a finial. The windows have been reglazed with modern small-pane transom windows.
