Description
Upper Lodge at Belle Vue Park is a two-storey lodge dating from the 19th century. The ground floor is constructed of rock-faced stone, while the upper floor features a half-timbered design, topped with a modern tiled roof. The main block has a gable facing north, with a four-light casement window on the first floor that is corbelled out over a splayed bay window. There is a small window at the northwest angle. The right elevation includes a large stone chimney and a small upper floor window. The left elevation has a lower cross wing with a tile-hung gable and a four-light upper floor casement window. In the angle between the blocks, there is a glazed porch with double leaf, part-glazed doors. To the left, there is an attached wall with gates and gatepiers, consisting of a stone wall with a pier and iron railing, followed by taller piers with capstones and elaborate iron gates, and a further section of iron railing with a pier to the left.
