Description
The drinking fountain located to the west of St Woolos' Cathedral is an elaborate structure made of polychrome glazed tiles. It features a square base in black and green that supports an urn with brass taps. The base is adorned with four grey twisted columns that hold up a canopy with a pediment on all four sides, which is topped with a ball finial. An inscription on the fountain states, "Presented by a former President to the Town of Newport in the name of The British Women’s Temperance Association."
