32 Ravensheugh Road, Musselburgh

32 Ravensheugh Road in Musselburgh is a pair of semi-detached single-storey houses with attics, built around 1840. They are set behind a dwarf walled front garden and have a near-symmetrical design. Each house features a central window flanked by doorways and canted three-light bay windows with facetted roofs at either end. The exterior is constructed from coursed rubble with raised quoins, door and window margins, and an eaves course. The roofs are slated, with skewed gables and a party wall that includes corniced chimney stacks. Above the bay windows, there are canted dormers with gablets, and there is a central square gabled dormer. A similar dormer was added later over the door of No 32. The houses primarily have four-pane sash windows, except for the bay windows and the later dormer on No 32, which feature reglazed single and double-pane sashes.
