Description
Broxmouth Park Observatory, built around 1850, is a single-storey octagonal room with an adjoining two-storey tower. The structure is made of squared and snecked sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. It features raised base courses and chamfered arrises around the openings. A moulded cornice runs along the corbelled, crenellated parapets. The doorway at the base of the tower is accessed by a straight flight of steps, and there are windows on all elevations.
