Description

Folly Tower at Tower Cottage is a building dating from around 1830. It is a three-storey tower built over the ground floor of the house at its western end. The tower is constructed of sandstone and features brick quoins, stringcourses, window dressings, and battlements. It has one window bay with pointed arches, although the windows themselves have been replaced with modern flat arched casement windows. The tower is situated above the entrance to the house, which has one storey and an attic, along with a basement and a gable at its eastern end. There is one window in the eastern part of the house, which has a stuccoed front.
