Description
Lymm Water Tower is a mid 19th century structure made of rock-faced squared rubble sandstone with broken courses. It is octagonal in shape and consists of three stages, topped with an octagonal turret. The tower features a pointed arched doorway with a boarded oak door. There are rectangular loopholes at the lowest stage and turret, and shoulder-arched openings on the second and third stages, which are blocked on alternate faces. The tower is crowned with battlements above a moulded band.
