Description
The bridge over the dry moat to Lymm Hall, likely built in the mid 17th century, is constructed of stone. It features a basket-arched span set within a later segmental-arched recess. The parapets have moulded cornices and include four panels on each side of six keystoned round-headed arches, supported by shaped square balusters between rectangular piers topped with stone balls. On the north side, the abutment extends east towards the Moat House, while on the south side, it ends in a rusticated pier with a projecting cornice that leads to the yard in front of the service wing of Lymm Hall.
