Description
Kirkhill House is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay classical house located on Roxburghe Terrace in Dunbar. The building features coursed rubble construction with rusticated ashlar quoins, an ashlar base course, a cornice, and raised plain margins. It has a 12-pane glazing pattern and a symmetrical entrance facade facing south, which includes an Ionic doorpiece, a flight of steps with decorative railings, and a panelled door with a fanlight above. The west and east gables each have central windows on three levels. The house has a slated roof. At the rear, there is a coach-house and an outhouse that connect to the main house on the east side. These structures are built of rubble with pantiled roofs and slate eaves.
