Description

Mid to later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay classical house. Painted ashlar, rubble stone to sides and rear, base course, eaves band, mutule cornice, blocking course, rusticated quoins, raised moulded margins.

E (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: central doorway under Ionic porch, plain architrave and frieze, dentil cornice. Window centred at 1st floor above. Bay to right, projecting tripartite window at ground cornice tripartite centred at 1st floor above. Bay to left, canted window at ground floor, cornice tripartite centred above.

S ELEVATION: gable end, garden wall abutting.

N ELEVATION: gable end, addition at ground floor.

Varied replacement windows, dark grey slate, stone skews, ashlar gablehead stacks. Full complement of square sections cans.

INTERIOR: converted for office use.

BOUNDARY WALLS AND GATEPIERS: low banded ashlar boundary wall to E. Square, decorated gatepiers with caps to N and S entrances.
