Description

Circa 1883. 2-storey, L-plan house with 2-stage tower at re-entrant angle. Stugged, coursed, cream sandstone with ashlar dressings; squared and snecked rubble to sides and rear. Base course; cill courses to 1st and 2nd floor windows; deep course.

N RANGE: E ELEVATION: gable front; strip quoins with scroll motif at eaves; near full-height, 4-light, central, canted bay window; castellated parapet. N ELEVATION: 3-light, stained glass stair window to right of centre between floors.

TOWER: S ELEVATION: recessed doorway at ground; 2-leaf panelled door; decoratively carved wooden pilasters flanking door; single triangular-headed window above. E ELEVATION: bipartite triangular-headed window at ground; single triangular-headed window to 1st floor above.

W RANGE: advanced, full-height, 4-light canted window at SE corner; polygonal roof with cast-iron finial.
