Description
Later 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, house with idiosyncratic detailing. Stugged cream sandstone with ashlar dressings. Base course; raised long and short quoins; cornice and blocking course; stylised architraves to ground floor; chip-carved decorative stonework.
S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: central tripartite doorway; panelled door; full-width, round-arched plate glass fanlight; stylised pilasters, decorative heraldic panels and dentilled lintel to door surround; heraldic carving at keystone and springing of arch. Single architraved window above. Full-height, 3-light, canted window to outer right; stop-chamfered reveals and bracketed cills to 1st floor; carved panel above central 1st floor window. Bipartite window to ground floor outer left; advanced bipartite window above with bracket and engaged sphere motif to cill.
Plate glass, timber, sash and case windows. Grey slate piended roof; coped wallhead stacks with square cans.
