Description

The gatepiers on Beech Road in Lenzie, Kirkintilloch, date from around 1900 and are designed in the Glasgow art nouveau style. There are three gatepiers made of ashlar stone, featuring ramped pilasters that display oak and rose tree motifs in decorative panels. Each pier is topped with a flat corniced cap. The wooden carriage and foot gates have inverted segmental arches, adorned with heart, spade, and square cut-out motifs.
