St Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, Kirkintilloch Road, Cadder

St Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, built in 1950 by Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, is a plain rectangular structure made of red facing brick. It features low pitched concrete skews and skewputs, along with narrow rectangular windows. The church has gabled roofs that were being recovered at the time of listing. A projecting porch is located at the west end, and there is a short flat-roofed side aisle at the southeast. The nave has ten bay windows. In the southwest angle between the porch and the nave, there is a leaded awning, which has sculptured panels depicting the life of the patron saint created by Benno Schotz above and to one side. Additionally, there is a flat-roofed single-storey room in the northwest angle. The interior was not seen during the listing.
