Our Lady Of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, 75 Craigpark, Glasgow

Our Lady Of Good Counsel Roman Catholic Church, built between 1964 and 1965 by the architects Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, features an irregular quadrilateral plan and is constructed of brown facing brick. It is situated on a sloping site with a railed platform to the east.

The east front has a low brick wall and a timber-framed strip that is glazed at the eaves. There are doorways on the left and right, with the right doorway inset and approached by brick stairs. The roof is striking, tapering and clad in copper, sloping in two directions from right to left, with deep eaves fascia.

The west front is similar to the east but has a lower parallel roof and a glazing band between the main roof and the lower roof.

Inside, the church is divided into three bays by two rows of three concrete columns that support the main beams. The interior is finished in facing brick, with the roof completed in pine. There is a west gallery, with a sacristy and confessionals located below it.
