Wills Tobacco Factory, 368 Alexandra Parade, Glasgow

Wills Tobacco Factory, located at 368 Alexandra Parade in Glasgow, was designed by the Engineers Office of the Imperial Tobacco Company around 1946 and completed in 1953. This building serves as both tobacco offices and a factory, featuring a large square courtyard block with a symmetrical northern front facing Alexandra Parade. A square central entrance tower rises one storey higher than the main structure, while shallow outer pavilions also extend above the main eaves. The factory is constructed of red brick with contrasting dressings, and the windows are arranged in horizontal strips. The building is mainly three to four storeys tall, with roofs that are concealed from view from the street. It is set behind wrought-iron railings.
